That could probably be addressed by opening the project fully first and only then asking for the list of "required projects". But yeah, it is a minor one time issue, it can be addressed anytime in the future.

@mbien agreed, and I think I've pointed out that distinction about 4 times in the last few weeks. It's a key thing to keep in mind with all the current discussions.
This change is a little awkward with ergonomics too, but that's only a one time issue. Do wish we had a way to stop anything being indexed before all the projects have been loaded.

if it has to get in lets get it in. This issue mostly occurs when your .m2 repo doesn't have much in it. I wouldn't adjust things during RC but we can probably improve the UI for NB 33 since we have more maven work planned anyway. Its two things we likely have to do: better optional init action and a smarter way to represent the problem list (e.g start from the parent).
honestly the quickest hotfix would be to not let the window pop up at all ;) user will likely press build anyway or see the warning on the project icons and resolve from there. Everything pops up at the same time, window and notification while the notification contains the solution (build project).
