WebClient client = WebClient.create(endpointURL, providers).path(path)
									.type(mediaType).accept(mediaType);
Response response = client.post(serviceStatusRequest);

yields ClassCastException in Headers.logProtocolHeaders(Level level):
Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: javax.ws.rs.core.MediaType cannot be cast to java.lang.String
        at org.apache.cxf.transport.http.Headers.logProtocolHeaders(Headers.java:282)
        at org.apache.cxf.transport.http.Headers.setProtocolHeadersInConnection(Headers.java:325)

There is a workaround: set log level > FINE
