[RT] F9 user interface

Hi

During my vacation I thought about Lenya's current user-interface,
repositories and the separation of navigation/maps from the repository.

I guess most of you know the F9 key for Mozilla/Firefox which opens a window
on the left side ...

I think we should do the same with the Lenya User Interface. This way we
could get rid of the "site/info" area and introduce different kind of
navigation/browsers, such as for instance "sitetree", "topic map",
"search" ...

I will try to make a mockup within the next few days, but wanted to see
what others think of such a "new" user interface.

Thanks

Michi

i think F9 just works on mozilla. it's the shortcut for the sidebar.
it's strg+B (bookmarks sidebar) or strg+H (history sidebar) in firefox.
do you mean just the look and feel of the sidebar?

Also does nothing for me with Firefox 1.0.7 (Windoze).

well, maybe it's just Mozilla which has this feature. I just assumed that
Firefox would support F9 as well :-(

No, not at all. It was just a hint to see what I am talking about.

Hmm, F9 does nothing for my Firefox (1.0.4), do I need to upgrade?

-Sounds cool
would this make Mozilla/Firefox a requirement for the Lenya User Interface?
