   Documentation for [symbol](https://echarts.apache.org/en/option-gl.html#series-scatter3D.symbol) does not mention _image_, only **_path_**.
   Try ```symbol: 'path://M170.665,213.333c-23.531,0-42.667,19.136-42.667,42.667c0,23.531,19.136,42.667,42.667,42.667z',```
