> As discussed in SPARK-16803, saveAsTable is not supported as a method for writing to Hive and insertInto should be used instead. However, on the java api documentation for version 2.1.1, the saveAsTable method is not marked as deprecated and the programming guides indicate that saveAsTable is the proper way to write to Hive.
