"cat < foo" is questionable example of redirection
Summary: "cat < foo" is questionable example of redirection
Product: Ant
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
URL: http://ant.apache.org/faq.html#shell-redirect-2
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: Other
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
ReportedBy: dbh@doc.ic.ac.uk
The FAQ section on redirecting standard input cites the example "cat < foo".
Add a note to say that many commands, including cat, accept (multiple) input
file names as ordinary command line arguments, making redirection unnecessary.
