Have you tried the latest Xerces jars? I recall fixing a problem like this
(bug [10474]) at the beginning of this month.
Could you close this bug if it's indeed a duplicate of 10474, and is already
fixed? If not, please attach the xml/xsd files that can reproduce the problem.
