Partial parsing of large XML - files

Hi all,

did someone prepare a sort of partial XML-parser which doesn't create the
whole DOM-document, but just a part of it (i.e. specified by a DOM_Node)?

I want to save log data in an XML-file on the HD. In my embedded system
memory is limited but the log file can grow large. I fear opening with
xerces can burst the memory. All I have to do is to insert log events into
the the log file, the evaluation can be done on another platform.
