Hooking Lucene to provide full-text search

While I am aware that using a post-commit hook to have Lucene add the newly
commited file content to its index for fast and flexible searching is
generally possible, I would like to know whether anyone has a working script
for that already.

I have seen a Phython script on the web that does does that as a command
line tool (and is for proof of concept only), but no fully functional hook
script yet.

Anyone has that and is willing to share this?

Thank you for the reply. Actully that was the command line tool I was
referring to. I was hoping for something ready to use.
I will consider doing it myself, but will rather use Java instead. Any
objections on using Java in a hook?

Ben Collins-Sussman posted something involving LuPy (the Python port
of the Lucene text indexer and search engine) and the Subversion
Python bindings.

   http://svn.red-bean.com/repos/sussman/software/subversion/ReposIndexer/

It's not polished yet, but I think it's close to what you had in mind.
