setDefaultRenderer, setDefaultEditor Swing

Hey, I have used the TableDialogEditDemo.java<https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/uiswing/examples/components/TableDialogEditDemoProject/src/components/TableDialogEditDemo.java> demo as a basis for adding a color picker to a table cell. I have essentially (for now) copied the projects Renderer and Editor and used the custom code editor to set the DefaultEditor and DefaultRenderer in the Netbeans GUI builder. The column is set to Object. What I can’t figure out is how to get the picker to activate for the specific column?

Thanks
Chris
