On an exhaustive release run of the end to end tests, I have seen a leaked HS2 session coming from query_test/test_kudu.py::TestKuduOperations::test_concurrent_schema_change(). This triggers a failure in test_verify_metrics.py's test_metrics_are_zero() due to impala-server.num-open-hiveserver2-session not reaching zero. This has happened on at least two different private jobs.
