James Mailbox for HBase
Hi ya,
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I wanted to check, hopefully this is the right place. We are looking to move our mail platform to a new distributed file system and have been looking at Hadoop. James seems to be ideal for this in that the Mailbox module has support for HBase but am I right in that this module only works with the beta version of James and not on the stable 2.3.2 release?

Hi Andrew,
Yes, you are at the right place :)
A distributed mailbox will be available in James 3.0 (not 2.3.2).
Upon the distributed storage of mails, there is also the distributed
consultation (via IMAP) and also the distributed delivery (via SMTP).
Some components still need to be developed to achieve these 2 last
functions, and overall, it's a matter of configuration to have such a
distributed mail server.
