[jira] [Created] (INFRA-8938) monitoring.a.o leads to an error page

Julian Foad created INFRA-8938:
----------------------------------

Summary: monitoring.a.o leads to an error page
                 Key: INFRA-8938
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-8938
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Nagios, Website
            Reporter: Julian Foad
            Priority: Minor

Visiting
  http://monitoring.apache.org
in Firefox redirects to an error page at http://nagvis.apache.org/nagios/nagvis/nagvis/index.php?map=ASF which says "nagiosDataNotUpToDate: NDOMy: NDO data to old (Backend ndomy_1) ..."

By contrast,
  http://monitoring.apache.org/status/
displays "This page is no longer used, please use status.apache.org instead."

I don't know what the best resolution is, but ideas that come to mind include:
  - monitoring.a.o should display the same message that monitoring.a.o/status does?
  - could both of those URLs redirect to http://status.apache.org/ instead of just displaying a message?
  - nagvis.apache.org should be fixed or taken down or something?
