I agree with Lars...make the redundant save attempt "transparent" and continue
with the editing or whatever. But please DO NOT carry out an actual save, as
this will needlessly change a file's date/time stamping and cause inaccurate
file recordkeeping! 

A user may not want a stamp change when nothing has actually changed, and many
of us make the manual (and possibly redundant -- particularly if 'autosave' has
just been done) save just before shutting down Writer as a "feel good" safety
maneuver. E.g., when I am working on multiple files with duplicate content (one
for an e-book and another for actual printing) I am concerned about correct
date/time stamping (:รพ).
