when response.sendRedirect is executed it takes lot of time to execute and gives exception

when response.sendRedirect is executed it takes lot of time to execute, BUT IT 
GETS ME TO THE REQUIRED PAGE AND I GET AN EXCEPTION IN CATALINA LOGS. Exception 
is

so i m not sending any data back to the client
