I have also recently upgraded to glibc-2.0.7pre6. I encountered this error after I tried
to install the 2.2.0pre1 kernel. After this failed I went back to the 2.1.132 kernel
and at boot up, my httpd failed to start with an error of:
[Wed Dec 30 17:03:14 1998] [warn] pid file /var/lib/httpd/var/apache/run/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous apache run?
So I figured it might be time to recompile it using the new lib+gcc.
If you need any other information, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
Mauricio
