Please help check Camel 1.3.0 RC1

Hi,

The first release candidate of camel 1.3.0 is finally out. You can
get the binary distributions here:
http://people.apache.org/~hadrian/apache-camel-1.3.0-RC1/maven2/org/apache/camel/apache-camel/1.3.0/

maven 2 repo: http://people.apache.org/~hadrian/apache-camel-1.3.0-RC1/maven2

Please check out this build and let me know if you see anything out of
place.

Hadrian

You're right, this seems just like the issue with the META-
INF/...TypeConverter files (http://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/CAMEL-268
). The uber-jar I just built out of trunk seems to work OK, FWIW.

it looks like the META-INF/spring.schemas from the camel-cxf component
overwrites the one from camel-spring.

We should use the shade plugin for such things.
It allows merging of files while creating an uber jar.

Were you using the big "apache-camel-1.3.0.jar" on the classpath I
wonder? Am thinking there could be times when the uber-jar is created
by replacing, rather than concatenating the various files in
META-INF/services/*

Unit tests using Spring-based routes stopped working for me
(previously OK using 1.3-SNAPSHOT as of r605209). I'm using camel-
core-1.3-SNAPSHOT-tests.jar and camel-spring-1.3-SNAPSHOT-tests.jar
out of trunk, in addition to apache-camel-1.3.0.jar. I keep seeing
the following:

org

Am I missing something obvious?

The main thing missing so far is the docs; there's no user guide PDF or javadoc.

Other than that, it looks great.

I am having trouble using the maven repo. Receives an error on this file:
http://people.apache.org/~hadrian/apache-camel-1.3.0-RC1/maven2/org/apache/camel/camel-core/1.3.0/camel-core-1.3.0.pom
The file is not well formed.

Good catch.

We could ship it; it provides the default Groovy expression support.
The Groovy DSL for Camel isn't finished though; but then folks
probably wouldn't know it was there unless they noodled the source :)

Shouldn't the binary distribution (apache-camel-1.3.0.zip) contain the
camel-groovy component, or is it not stable enough for release?
