[jira] [Created] (LENS-1166) Automatically kill queries if a query running for more than configured duration

Deepak Barr created LENS-1166:
---------------------------------

Summary: Automatically kill queries if a query running for more than configured duration
                 Key: LENS-1166
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LENS-1166
             Project: Apache Lens
          Issue Type: Wish
            Reporter: Deepak Barr

In our system, sometimes, we have seen that reducers get stuck and MR job for the query remains is in RUNNING state forever ( sometimes, for 2 days). Can you we have a feature in lens where queries are killed automatically if they are running for more than a configurable duration ?
I know we have EXECUTE_WITH_TIMEOUT option on query submission but it might be good to have this feature globally at server side.
Thoughts ?
