Hi guys,

What do you think about this :
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRELEASE-391

I agree, I would like to have this supported easily in repository managers.
It's already available in Nexus Pro, and I'll think it'll be available in
archiva in few monthes (I just opened the issue :
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1021).

In the meantime, I'll try to develop this feature. I think it is cheaper for
my customer than to migrate to nexus pro or to implement the feature in
archiva. It will continue to work because instead of to copy all artifacts
in the staging repository, it copies only those deployed by the stage mojo.

It sounds like that would supercede the need for the stage plugin. If
you can get that to work more efficiently than what it does now that'd
be a good thing.

Even though most repository managers will support this functionality
in fairly near future, I imagine we'll need a basic capability in
Maven itself.
