   Thanks for remind me of the basic principle for a PR. Let me explain here. I think these two modifications are all used for solving the 504 request timeout issue.
   
   - The first one drop the most frequent used admin api to a internal binary protocol. 
   - The second one add retry support and rate limit for avoiding time out.
