Thanks [~afernandez],[~mgergely][~oleewere] for the comments and suggestions.
[~oleewere] I love the idea of having a separate component (infra-solr-manager) to schedule jobs and keep track of files in HDFS. Is there a jira regarding this. If so I would love to be part of this and collaborate to create the component.
Meanwhile, would it be a good idea to use my proposed system as a temporary solution to download multiple logs?
