[jira] [Created] (UIMA-4700) Add new primitive types for JavaObject and JavaObjectArray

Marshall Schor created UIMA-4700:
------------------------------------

Summary: Add new primitive types for JavaObject and JavaObjectArray
                 Key: UIMA-4700
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-4700
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Core Java Framework
            Reporter: Marshall Schor
            Assignee: Marshall Schor
             Fix For: 3.0.0SDKexp

This is not yet fully worked out, especially w.r.t. de/serialization. Add a new primitive UIMA type which can be the value of a feature, which is an arbitrary Java Object. The intent is to allow at least things like ArrayLists and HashMaps to be used as values in the CAS.
