Status?

Hi guys,

  I see that there's some activity on this project, but I've looked in 
vain on the website or in CVS for any indication of the project's 
status.  It appears that there has never been an official Apache release 
of this project.  Looking in CVS, the 2.3 codebase seems to have been 
relegated to the attic -- with no official 2.3 release.  So I'm guessing 
that you're working toward either 2.4 or 3.0.

  Can you please let me know what your plans are?  I'm just looking for 
10 words or less -- nothing elaborate.
