How do you initialize contents of a Zone when the page is loaded?

I'm new to Tapestry, and have just gone through the recommended basic
Tapestry 5 tutorials. Currently playing around with the T5 Ajax support and
at this point, I understand how to refresh a zone after clicking on an
actionLink. However, I can't seem to find any examples on how to initialize
the contents of a zone when the page is loaded. Could anyone point me in the
right direction? Thanks.

Anything inside the Zone component will be rendered when the page is
rendered. The *AJAX* Zone content filling just happens when an ActionLink,
EventLink of Form event is triggered.

Your action link event handler probably returns Block.
So you can use delegate component:

<t:zone t:id="myZone" t:visible="literal:true">
  <t:delegate to="myBlock"/>
</t:zone>

<t:block t:id="myBlock">
  ...
</t:zone>
