[jira] [Created] (APEXCORE-338) Support Cascaded Configuration Files

Timothy Farkas created APEXCORE-338:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: Support Cascaded Configuration Files
                 Key: APEXCORE-338
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/APEXCORE-338
             Project: Apache Apex Core
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Timothy Farkas

Production apps maintain multiple configuration files for automated CI build and deployments, release configurations, as well as configs for different clusters. Typically only a few properties out of dozens are modified for each configuration. It would be good to specify a base configuration, and then an additional configuration which modifies only a few properties in the original configuration. If we don't provide this feature, the developer has to manually keep all his configuration files in sync which is a big headache and is error prone.
