[jira] [Commented] (HADOOP-7387) Change rpm to ignore configuration
files when uninstalling

Brian Bockelman commented on HADOOP-7387:
-----------------------------------------
I'm not sure this is a great idea.
Like it or not (I don't really like the behavior), it's the way RPMs are expected to behave on the platform. To "fix" the behavior will make the RPM stick out.

> When uninstalling RPM files, the config files are renamed from core-site.xml to core-site.xml.rpmsave. It would be nice if config file does not get renamed.
