[jira] Commented: (WOOKIE-159) Old 'basic chat widget' not updating online users when user navigates away from page

Scott Wilson commented on WOOKIE-159:
-------------------------------------

I think we should just retire the widget and concentrate on maintaining the two other ones - Natter has largely the same functionality.

> Key: WOOKIE-159
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WOOKIE-159
> Project: Wookie
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 0.9.0
> Environment: Win vista (chrome, IE8, Firefox)
> Reporter: Paul Sharples
> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: 0.9.0
>
>
> To reproduce...
> (1) Start wookie in standalone mode
> (2) Go to http://localhost:8080/wookie
> (3) Click 'view widget gallery'
> (4) Choose the 'Chat - basic chat widget' (the first one after butterfly, not the natter widget!)
> (5) Two instances appear as normal with two users logged in.
> (6) Navigate away from the page by clicking the 'menu' link at the top of the page
> (7) Repeat steps 3-4
> (8) The 'logged in users' list now has more than two users, suggesting that the previous users were not removed from the list
> (9) Repeat 3-4 serveral times to see the 'logged in' list grow.
> This is the old & original chat widget, we now have two other chat widgets. So the issue is to fix or retire it from the build?
