I think we should use tools like [asciidoctor|https://asciidoctor.org/] that allows to [convert document|https://asciidoctor.org/docs/convert-documents/] to various formats like html, pdf etc. We can maintain these *.adoc files in the codebase itself and html can be imported to confluence.
