[Bug 54952] New: [Fri May 10 17:39:01 2013] [error] proxy: CLUSTER: (balancer://cluster). All workers are in error state

https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=54952

            Bug ID: 54952
Summary: [Fri May 10 17:39:01 2013] [error] proxy: CLUSTER:
(balancer://cluster). All workers are in error state
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: HP
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_proxy_balancer
          Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
          Reporter: jpi@nacionservicios.com.ar
    Classification: Unclassified

Hi All!

Hi have configured two apache servers in a balancer cluster, working as reverse
proxys for the application servers.

>From the mod_cluster console I can see al the nodes that are configured, but
when for example I try to call the service:

IP/service

I see from the error_logs the following message:

[Fri May 10 17:39:01 2013] [error] proxy: CLUSTER: (balancer://my cluster). All
workers are in error state

However if I call the service using the IP address of the application server I
get to the service.

The weird thing is that from the mod_cluster console I see the nodes and all
the applications deployed there.

Another thing that I'd like to add is that nothing were made on the system
which is really weird.

Could you please assist?

Thanks!

Hello Juan,

you are mixing pears with apples I'm afraid...

mod_proxy_balancer and mod_proxy_cluster are two completely different, mutually
exclusive, incompatible modules.

If you really use mod_cluster and mod_proxy_balancer is not loaded and you are
still having issues, browse: https://community.jboss.org/en/mod_cluster , try
with the latest 1.2.6 tag: https://github.com/modcluster/mod_cluster or
create a JIRA: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/MODCLUSTER
