Hello PMCs --happy 2015!

A few points about promotion as we enter the new year:

1) some of you on Twitter have noticed our timeline change significantly
over the past few weeks, primarily as we now follow Apache projects :^)

Those of you --or perhaps your sub-projects-- who have Twitter handles and
aren't followed (yet) by @TheASF, please forward to me and I'll add you.
We'd appreciate a follow as well.

2) if you haven't submitted a proposal for the upcoming ApacheCon
(Austin/13-17 April), please do so as soon as you can
http://s.apache.org/acna2015cfp

If you're unsure what's being discussed/considered so far, or would like to
become involved with the programming process, check out
http://s.apache.org/60N

3) will your project be holding an event/meetup/* or have a prominent
presence at a conference?

Share with press@ so we can help spread the word. Also let us know if
you're available for any media queries.

4) do you need Apache stickers to distribute to your community?

Please place requests to me at press@ (as this comes out of my budget). If
approved, we will coordinate with Melissa (ASF executive assistant) to get
them ordered for you.

5) if you know of a sub-project or podling that is getting ready to
graduate as a TLP and is interested in a press release to announce this,
please contact us at press@ ASAP (= before you notify board@) so that we
can work with you to synch the timing. There are several moving parts aside
from Board approval to make this happen (e.g., infra migration to
projectname.apache.org, etc.). Members of the press often don't cover
stories that are stale (= no longer "news).

Thanks in advance for this. Your participation helps us improve across the
board!

-Sally
