logic:equal problem

Hi

I am trying to use logic:equal tag to check whether a bean property is equal 
to another bean property or not. I am getting following error

cannot resolve the synmbol: setValue(currentVar) location EqualTag


Following is the code

<bean:define id="currentVar" name="current" />

<logic:iterate id="crumb" name="crumbs">
    <logic:equal name="crumb" property="link" value="<%=currentVar%>">
        <bean:write name="crumb" property="value"/>
    </logic:equal>
</logic:iterate>
