Test cases

In going through the examples/code/tests, I'm creating new tests to
increase the coverage. Was wondering (since there isn't a blanket "Test
Case" issue) how best to get these tests back in the stream.

Created an issue and attached a patch. Consider _extremely trivial_, but
increases code coverage to 100% for examples and helped me follow the
interceptors. If this kind of test ("it can't break") isn't wanted, let
me know and I'll keep them private.
