problems with Xerces under 1.3.1 java

Hi,

Has anyone been working with Xerces under 1.3.1 java
(the current beta)? We believe we are seeing JIT 
related problems, which cause Xerces to spit out
one of its asserts. (FWK004 cannot happen 18).
