Quentin Pradet commented on LUCENE-10085:
-----------------------------------------

I'd like to work on this! I'll dedicate the Nov 15th - 19th week to work on this full time. (I don't have any experience in Java or Lucene, so this could easily take the whole week.)

> Implement Weight#count on DocValuesFieldExistsQuery
> ---------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: LUCENE-10085
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-10085
> Project: Lucene - Core
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Adrien Grand
> Priority: Minor
>
> Now that we require all documents to use the same features (LUCENE-9334) we could implement {{Weight#count}} to return docCount if either terms or points are indexed.
