> In the 2.0 line, there was #6285 where hsha introduced some corruption.  If you're hit by this, you get the DecoratedKey message that indicates that one of the sstables getting compacted had the error in it.  It would be much nicer to know which sstable had that problem.  Otherwise, you're left having to ss2j each of the sstables involved in the compaction until you've found it/them.
