[jira] [Commented] (MXNET-1230) Publish Scala versions separately for 2.11.12 to 2.12.8

Jesse Brizzi commented on MXNET-1230:

Hey Denis,

I was wondering what the current status of this work is. I am looking into the viability of upgrading my apps that use MXNet from 2.11 to 2.12. I have a branch building for 2.12.8 from just modifying the pom.xml in the Scala package. Is the issue in figuring out a way to cross-compile with Maven for multiple Scala versions?

This might be a good argument for pushing switching Scala build tools from Maven to SBT forward. SBT makes cross compiling scala versions trivial.

> Instead of publishing one version of MXNet Scala with Scala 2.11.8 we should publish for the latest of each current source-major version of MXNet Scala package; currently this is one for 2.11.12 and one for 2.12.8.
