[jira] [Updated] (GEODE-7797) Deprecate old Apache Geode logging properties

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GEODE-7797?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

John Blum updated GEODE-7797:
-----------------------------
    Priority: Minor  (was: Major)

> Deprecate old Apache Geode logging properties
> ---------------------------------------------
>
>                 Key: GEODE-7797
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GEODE-7797
>             Project: Geode
>          Issue Type: Bug
>            Reporter: John Blum
>            Priority: Minor
>
> The old Apache Geode logging properties (e.g. `log-level`) no longer have any effect. Effectively, these properties are rendered useless as of Apache Geode {{1.9.2}} since the logging capabilities in Apache Geode was properly separated and modularized in Apache Geode {{1.9.2}}, between Log4j API usage vs. using Log4j, and specifically, {{log4j-core}}, as a logging provider, which as been encapsulated in the new {{geode-log4j}} module.
> Apache Geode properties that effectively useless are:
> * {{log-diskspace-limit}}
> * {{log-file}}
> * {{log-file-size-limit}}
> * {{log-level}}
