Installation with cpan

Hi, I have installed the latest version of spamassassin and I have used the cpan method but the result is:

...
make: *** No rule to make target `Mail::SpamAssassin'. Stop.
/usr/bin/make install Mail::SpamAssassin -- NOT OK

.. but I don't understand where is the error !! .. now if execute:

[root@mail ~]# perl -MCPAN -e shell
Terminal does not support AddHistory.

cpan shell -- CPAN exploration and modules installation (v1.7601)
ReadLine support available (try 'install Bundle::CPAN')

cpan> o conf prerequisites_policy ask
         prerequisites_policy ask

cpan> install Mail::SpamAssassin
CPAN: Storable loaded ok
Going to read /root/.cpan/Metadata
   Database was generated on Tue, 08 Feb 2005 21:37:54 GMT
Mail::SpamAssassin is up to date.

Thanks.

        Salvatore.
