HI [~rvs], I know it's bad habit to pooint to code drops:

 In  https://github.com/oflebbe/inst you'll find a complete bootstrap and puppet deployment of secure mode hadoop cluster. Feel free to (re-)use it. It's apache License 2, missing headers can be added.
