Datetime on guacd logs

Is there a way to add date and time information on guacd logs?

Time is an important factor when analysing logs.

Didn't know this option "--timestamps", thank you Mike.

guacd logs to syslog and additionally to stderr if running in the
foreground. It relies on the platform's logging facility to add any needed
timestamps. For the Docker image, the guacd service runs in the foreground
for several reasons, one of which is to ensure the logs are managed through
Docker's standard logging facility.

If you want to see the timestamps for Docker or Kubernetes log entries, use
the "--timestamps" option. Both the "docker logs" and "kubectl logs"
commands provide this.

I have guacd running in a kubernetes/docker environment. Looked inside the
container and there is no syslog, I think guacd is logging directly to
stdout. The output I get when using "kubectl logs -f ...." is

I would agree - but, in general, guacd logs to facilities like syslog,
where the timestamp is kept for you. Is there some reason that timestamps
need to be added beyond this?
