Xindice and Authentication.

Greetings.

I have started to learn Cocoon. I have integrated Xindice with Cocoon as 
mentioned in: 
http://www.cocooncenter.de/cc/documents/resources/xindice/index.html ... 
however, I would like to take it a step further. Looking at the 
authentication portions of Cocoon, is it possible to cause it to 
authenticate against Xindice or any other Xmldb server?

Maybe you should take a look at this thread:

it is about a authentication with mysql, but it should
be easy to change it to a xmldb
