Filer 'org.apache.xindice.core.filer.BTreeFiler' not available

Hello,

I've been working with Xindice for a few days and it seemed to work right. But yesterday I wanted to do a work load test and I put 400.000 documents into a Collection.
Now, when I startup the database I get this:

Database: 'db' initializing
DEBUG> Filer 'org.apache.xindice.core.filer.BTreeFiler' not available
Script: 'GET' added to script storage
Service: 'db' started
Service: 'HTTPServer' started @ http://hotname:4080/
Service: 'APIService' started
-----------------------------------

And if I try to access the collection or create an index I get errors like: org.apache.xindice.core.filer.FilerException: Filer is closed.
What can be the problem? How can I solve it?
I'm using Xindice 1.0, JDK 1.3.1 on Linux.
