[users@httpd] what configuration for multi-user webserver
My current configuration (2.0.40 / Red Hat Valhalla):
Compiled in modules:
core.c
mod_access.c
mod_auth.c
mod_include.c
mod_log_config.c
mod_env.c
mod_setenvif.c
mod_ssl.c
prefork.c
http_core.c
mod_mime.c
mod_status.c
mod_autoindex.c
mod_asis.c
mod_cgi.c
mod_negotiation.c
mod_dir.c
mod_imap.c
mod_actions.c
mod_userdir.c
mod_alias.c
mod_so.c
Is prefork the recommended setting for a webserver with about 50
VirtualHosts, or dexter, worker....?
How can I switch to Dexter?

Prefork is recommended for the most stable possible server, especially
if you are using modules like php or mod_perl that depend on third-party
libraries. Worker is recommended for the greatest scalability.
All other unix mpms are experimental and should not be used unless you
want to be involved in the development process.
Joshua.
