The first real pod for each application is marked as originator. And it’s typically considered as driver/owner pod. This flag is propagated to core and impacts the preemption decision flow.

 

However, the current REST API doesn’t expose the originator flag. Exposing the flag will allow user to check which allocation is originator and will be beneficial for monitoring and troubleshooting.
