Build break b/c of SDOHelper
I'm getting the following build break in /sca/tools:
/Users/jmarino/workspace/tuscany/java/sca/tools/src/main/java/org/
apache/tuscany/tools/wsdl2java/generate/WSDL2JavaGenerator.java:
[128,30] cannot find symbol
symbol : constructor XSDHelperImpl
(org.eclipse.emf.ecore.util.ExtendedMetaData,<nulltype>)
location: class org.apache.tuscany.sdo.helper.XSDHelperImpl
I believe this is because the pom incorrectly references the SDO
project (<version>${sca.version}</version>) as opposed to a snapshot.
Before I change this, we need to have SDO snapshots published so we
can rely on them. Kelvin or Frank, can you guys help with this?
Jim

OK, I have done what I think is necessary. Please note that in this
exercise I have updated the <specVersion> property of the sdo-api pom.xmlfrom
2.0.1 to 2.1, hence all the sdo spec related artifacts of the deploy have
r2.1 in their names, rather than the r2.0.1 that has been the case until
now. Below is a listing of new files in the snapshot repository following
this operation.

The coupling between subprojects was what we were trying to get away
from. For example, we should not require people to build SDO to be
able to build SCA.

This is what I think we need to do.

Yes, would this be possible? Then from SCA, we could reference that.

I'm not sure about that one.
Thanks Kelvin.

Re: Build break b/c of SDOHelper
Posted by kelvin goodson <ke...@gmail.com>.
Jim,
I can post snapshot artifacts to the snapshot repository, but I thought that
the default approach here is to point the project at a SNAPSHOT version, and
then build the SDO snapshot artifact into your local repo. I know there has
been some discussion about posting snapshot versions to the snapshot
repository, and indeed I posted the parent pom and build tools projects in
this way just last week, but I didn't think we had switched over fully to
that mode of operation.
I assume you would like me to run a "mvn deploy" for sdo-api and sdo implem
project from the trunk. Does anyone know if its required to sign snapshot
deployments?
Regards, Kelvin.
