[jira] [Created] (CLIMATE-28) Adjust how variable selection drop down boxes are displayed to the user depending on number of options

Michael Joyce created CLIMATE-28:
------------------------------------

Summary: Adjust how variable selection drop down boxes are displayed to the user depending on number of options
                 Key: CLIMATE-28
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLIMATE-28
             Project: Apache Open Climate Workbench
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Michael Joyce
            Assignee: Michael Joyce

When the user parses a file in selectObservation the check boxes are defaulted to the first available option. This behavior is fine when there is only one option but when there are more than one the default option should indicate that the user needs to make a selection. For instance "Please select" or something similar would be useful.
