Xindice src, war and jar

Hi!!!

 

At Xindice site http://xml.apache.org/dist/xindice/, I can found Xindice
src, war and jar versions to download.

Can anyone explain me what's the difference between them??

src == source
war == webapp binary
jar == compiled binary
