Sylpheed also has very good filtering for mail, both incoming and outgoing

I normally use Seamonkey, but Thunderbird also has filters available. I
use those filters to sort incoming mail into categories such as bills,
trash and a couple of others.

Oh how nice! What email program are you using? So far, I can only set
a filter like that if I log into my ISP account.

I am sure this abandoned email address will be removed from the mailing
list.

Thank you for your insight re: trash filter

It's easy enough to add them to my "Trash" filter.

James, I was receiving them also . . . it appears someone closed their
email account forgetting (imagine forgetting) their Open Office
subscription.

If you use a product like MailWasher, just set a filter that auto
deletes this particular email address - works great.
