[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-819) Create test for avatica gateway service definition

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-819?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16673147#comment-16673147 ]

Kevin Risden commented on KNOX-819:
-----------------------------------

Moving this out to Knox 1.3 since the patch needs more work. Looks like it is missing adding the avatica dependency and hooking it into the test framework. The groovy script looks like it can be utilized though.

> For our Apache releases, we largely use our clientDSL which is based on groovy.
> Let me point you to the one for hive as it requires a driver and the like as well.
> We would need to do something similar to that.
> It would help provide a blog on how to use Phoenix through Knox programmatically as well as with sqlline.
