[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-7447) Separate Aggregations from
ValueSources
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-7447?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14507129#comment-14507129 ]
Yonik Seeley commented on SOLR-7447:
------------------------------------
Although it was convenient to use all the ValueSource plumbing (parsing, plugin loading, etc), it doesn't make sense in the long run.
Aggregations need to have their own plugin types.

> AggValueSource acts as the base class for all metric-type aggregations (like sum, unique, percentile, etc). It should prob not inherit from ValueSource as it does now.
